Virginia Virtuosi
Devoted to challenging musical boundaries and engaging new audiences, the Virginia Virtuosi performs innovative chamber music concerts throughout the greater Washington DC area. Our goals include expanding the audience and repertoire for live chamber music by juxtaposing masterworks by composers like Mozart and Haydn with contemporary works. Our recent and upcoming concerts include presentations at the Kennedy Center, George Mason University, and Frying Pan Farm Park.
The Virginia Virtuosi is deeply comitted to education and outreach. Engaging families and young audiences at schools and community centers throughout the region is an opportunity we wholeheartedly embrace. Our frequent partners in this effort include Young Audiences of Maryland, the American Federation of Musicians, and public school systems in Virginia, Washington DC, and Maryland. Through the generosity of our sponsors, many family programs are now presented free of charge. Check the upcoming engagements link above for more information.
